In November 2018, I had the opportunity to present to a large group at the SecureWorld conference in Bellevue, Washington. My talk was titled, “Does building geometry affect active shooter outcomes?” I’m happy to report that there was significant interest in the research based on active shooter simulation and I was challenged with some great follow-up questions. The rest of the conference was great and it was interesting to see the interplay between managing information security and physical security in organizations.
My presentation at SecureWorld was also featured in the monthly update at UW’s MAPS program.
